Rice flour – 2 containers

Coconut – 1 major estimated

Sugar – 1 container

Cardamom powder– 1/4 tsp (discretionary)

Salt as required

Arrangement

Shred the coconut and concentrate the coconut milk.Take one glass of the first thick drain and keep aside. Then extricate the rest as meager .

Take the flour in a wide bowl and include obliged salt for the flour(I included 1/2 tsp) and utilize enough water to make a delicate dough.(Don't make it hard else it will be difficult to move to kollukattai . In the event that you made it sticky you can cover it with a cotton fabric to watch abundance water.)

Spread a cotton towel or a dhoti (vesti) . Apply oil on your palm and take a little measure of mixture in your grasp and move them into kolukattais (as indicated in the photo) .Roll the rest as same and as little as could reasonably be expected in coveted size,if you move it into enormous size then it may taste dull when cooked in coconut milk.

Permit the rice balls to dry in the room temperature ,it will take 2 hrs ( Don't give them a chance to dry under the fan or in daylight as it will make the rice balls harder and won't cook easily.Just keep in room temperature for couple of hours ) .

Exchange the rice balls into a plate ( you can see mine is totally dried ).Set everything prepared to make buddy kolukattai.

Take a kadai and pour the flimsy coconut drain and permit it to bubble.

Keep in medium fire and include a large portion of the rice balls and don't bother them for 2 mins and gradually utilize a laddle .

Presently include whatever remains of the rice balls and let it bubble for another 2 mins and blend it with a laddle .

Permit them to bubble in medium fire for 7-8 mins (untill the rice balls get cooked , blend in the middle of to abstain from staying).

Presently include the sugar and a squeeze of salt and permit to bubble .

The sugar will break down and the consistency will turn out to be thin , permit to bubble for another 8 mins untill you get a thick consistency , Stir in the middle of to abstain from blazing .

Presently pour in the thick coconut drain and give it a mix and switch of the fire.

The yummy paal kolukattai is currently prepared to taste…

Notes :

I didn't include cardamom powder as in my family we cherish this dish with full coconut flavour. If you like to include then include it while including sugar.

Continuously move the balls fit as a fiddle .

What's more, given them a chance to dry just at room temperature. It will take couple of hours.

Some like to include jaggery in the spot of sugar. Be that as it may, I like the sugar version.
